E’ possibile rappresentare la sicurezza (il suo desiderio) con una linea retta: la progressione geometrica del punto corrisponde a quella del desiderio. Di tutte le linee rette, è la rotta nautica quella che incarna davvero la sicurezza perché coincide con essa.

Cerco di tenermi lontano da questa ossessione e continuo a sbuffare controcorrente; la “retta” via è poi giusta per me?

Le dieci rotte che ho disegnato, né brevi né rettilinee, sono del tutto prive di scopo ed insicure per la navigazione: appartengono piuttosto alla sfera dell’arte.
E’ l’arte infatti, a non possedere funzione tangibile, a sperimentare l’incerto e a godersi la libertà del risultato.
Now days is quite evident that the claim of security over liberty is increasing, even if not shereable full stop. I do not share it and keep on questioning myself if the “straight” line is right for me later. I have been thinking how good a straight line is as a metaphor of “security” or indeed coincides with it.. A safe nautical course has to be short and straight. The ten courses I have been drawing are purely non-functional and insecure on the level of navigation: they belong to the sphere of art. It is property of the art to experience the uncertain, to have not tangible function, to enjoy the freedom of the result obtained.
