Geopuzzle nasce dal lavoro svolto in un workshop con ragazzi delle scuole medie di Jesi nel 2004. durante i lavori abbiamo creato con l’aiuto dei ragazzi, una nostra mappa del fiume Esino. Stravolgendone il corso, abbiamo reso chiaramente visibile l’alterazione provocata dai materiali plastici industriali. Il fiume, così segmentato, perde definitivamente la propria continuità, unità e organicità originarie. Vogliamo ora coinvolgere una audience più vasta; crediamo che l’arte sia in grado di porsi come testimonianza e indicazione nei confronti della società. Per destare interesse sui problemi ambientali del fiume, faremo giungere a tutti i residenti dei Comuni della Valle Esina, la nostra immagine “significativa” stampata su comuni sacchi per spazzatura. Alcune migliaia di buste da noi progettate, verranno distribuite modo capillare. Il progetto è finanziato dall’Assessorato all’Ambiente della Provincia di Ancona.

Geopuzzle originates from a workshop held with primary schools students in 2004. We originally managed the re-drawing of Esino river’s profile on a map, on the basis that the massive intrusion of plastic waste materials, breaks the unity between natural and artificial categories, thus altering our sensorial perception of the landscape.
Now we wish to involve the largest possible audience about the river environmental problems: we believe that art monitors the status-quo and is able to supply hints to society.
We are about to print our altered map of the river on four thousand rubbish bags to be delivered to the residents of the river neighboured. The action is sponsored by the Ancona Province Commission for the Environment.
